We are seeking a Retail Associate to join our team. As a Retail Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with their gardening needs. Job Duties:

Assist customers in selecting plants, flowers, gardening supplies, outfits and gifts
Provide guidance on plant care, landscaping, lawn maintenance and boutique trends
Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the garden center and boutique
Water plants and ensure they are properly cared for
Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels, reset tables / racks
Assist with pricing, labeling of products and inventory
Answer customer inquiries and provide product recommendations
Collaborate with team members to achieve goals

Requirements:

Previous experience in a garden center or retail environment is preferred
Knowledge of garden care, landscaping, lawn maintenance techniques and styling trends with an eye for detail
Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
Proficient in basic retail math and cash handling procedures
Excellent communication skills in English, fluency in Spanish is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Physical stamina to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods of time
Ability for weekends and evening hours, especially in our busy season
