Nestled in Chocowinity, North Carolina, the course has earned a coveted 4-Star Rating from Golf Digest and accolades from the USGA and Carolina Golf Association.  Cypress Landing is hiring for an Assistant Golf Professional. Primary responsibilities include: Has the ability to complete an accurate inventory count each month and has a firm understanding of cost of goods sold. Assists the Head Golf Professional in planning, promoting, and directing all golf activities. Develops merchandise sales and promotions during holidays, specials events, and times when sales are slow. Provides golf lessons to all members and guests, overseeing the instruction program at the club.  Develops and conducts junior golf clinics. Orders supplies for the golf shop as directed by the Head Golf Professional. Plays golf with members to ensure enthusiasm for the game. Understands how to use the point of sales system. Assists the Head Golf Professional with all tournament operations. Maintains all logs (comp, rain check, monthly range, etc.). QualificationsREQUIRED SKILLS Willingness to learn. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and club point of sales systems. Understanding of Club Financials. Must have a thorough working knowledge of the club’s golf operation.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently: Be exposed to outside weather conditions including temperatures over 90 and below 40 degrees.
