This position is a split between Onyx Care of Ruston and Onyx Care of Bernice Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders, helping individuals improve their speech, language, cognitive-communication, and overall quality of life. Develop individualized treatment plans to address patient needs. Provide therapy sessions focusing on articulation, cognitive-communication, and swallowing difficulties. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on techniques to enhance communication and swallowing function. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including occupational and physical therapists, physicians, and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans. Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology. QualificationsQualifications Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Licensure: Valid state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (preferred). Experience: Prior experience in speech therapy (preferred but not required). Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient-care skills. Certifications: CPR certification (preferred).
