We are seeking a Hospice Social Worker (MSW) who is interested in serving Good Sam in the New River Valley area.

Your Role as a Hospice Social Worker:

  • Generous mileage reimbursement paid out bi-weekly.
  • Provide emotional and psychosocial support to patients and families.
  • Assist with advance care planning, counseling, and bereavement services.
  • Coordinate community resources to help families navigate hospice care.
  • Collaborate with nurses, chaplains, and other team members to provide holistic care.
  • Advocate for patients’ needs and provide guidance through difficult transitions.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
  • State licensure (LMSW or LCSW) preferred.
  • 2 years of Experience in hospice, palliative care, or a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong communication, counseling, and advocacy skills.
  • A heart for service and supporting others in their time of need.
