State Fire is looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our Pocatello-based team. In this role, you'll install, service, and maintain fire sprinkler systems at commercial and industrial sites across the region. What You’ll Do

• Install and repair fire sprinkler systems, including wet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action, and deluge systems
  
• Read and interpret blueprints, building plans, and specifications
  
• Layout piping, hang supports, and join piping systems using appropriate tools and techniques
  
• Collaborate with job site foremen, trades, and general contractors
  
• Travel regionally for projects, with overnight stays as needed
  
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with NFPA standards and OSHA regulations

Requirements

What You Bring

Required:

• 3+ years of experience in the fire sprinkler trade
  
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  
• Physically capable of performing demanding field work, including lifting up to 70 lbs
  

Preferred:

• Completion of a fire sprinkler apprenticeship program
  
• Familiarity with MSHA, OSHA, and fire/building codes
  
• State-specific licensing or ability to obtain
  
• Basic computer literacy for using field apps and timesheets
  

Physical Requirements

• Climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs
  
• Work in confined spaces or at heights
  
• Safely lift, carry, and place heavy tools and materials
  
• Use power tools such as pipe cutters, saws, drills, and threaders
  
• Work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
