Security Operations Center Operator is tasked with the overall safety of employees, contractors and assets at the global level. As a GSOC Operator, multi-tasking will be a key requirement to be successful in the day-to-day duties. On occasions, you will find yourself in high stress situations and will be expected to always perform efficiently and effectively. All GSOC Operators are expected to be proficient with the following systems: Lenel OnGuard, Milestone (CCTV), Everbridge (ISAS), Building Management System (BMS/Insight Remote Notification), Everbridge (Travel Security), and any other tools necessary to be successful in your everyday function. Incident Report writing, documentation, emergency dispatch and remote alarm panel (Fire Panel) monitoring are key factors while performing duties within the GSOC. Receiving incoming calls for fire, medical, security, and customer service issues are part of the day-to-day duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • GSOC Operators are held accountable for successful job performance. Job performance standards may be documented separately, and may include functions, objectives, duties or tasks not specifically listed herein.
  • In performing functions, duties or tasks, GSOC Operators are required to know and follow safe work practices, and to be aware of company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations.
  • All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical, and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable company policies and procedures. In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of company policies and procedures, GSOC Operators are encouraged to request clarification from their Supervisor/Lead.
  • Receives and logs incoming calls for service; determines nature, location, and priority of call and contacts proper agencies for emergency response when deemed necessary.
  • Answers all emergency and non-emergency phone lines including calls from mobile phones.
  • Requires daily professional interaction with security officers, employees and Management.
  • Monitor and observe Milestone (CCTV), Everbridge (Travel Security), Lenel OnGuard (Access Control), and Building Management System (BMS/Insight Remote
  • Notification) in order to remain proactive and ensure the overall wellness of employees and Assets throughout various campuses.
  • Conducts thorough investigations utilizing various resources when needed to provide conclusive information to the client/stake holders.
  • Must be available to communicate with subordinates, supervisors, customers, vendors, and any other persons or organization with which interaction is required to accomplish work and employer goals.
  • As an GSOC Operator you are expected to set the example for others to emulate and conduct him/herself without reproach.
  • As an GSOC Operator you are expected to be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to; attendance standards, work deadlines, and beginning and ending assignments on time.
  • Performs tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for assigned campuses.
  • GSOC Operators will be asked at times to work on various projects and must be able to work on projects with little to no supervision while meeting all required deadlines.

QUALIFICATION:

  • A minimum of two years as security shift officer or one year as a security supervisor.
  • Experience utilizing applications such as Everbridge, Lenel security systems or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook email management.
  • Experience in public, private, or military fields of communications, dispatch, or intelligence analysis is desirable but not required.
  • Bilingual candidates are highly sought, but not mandatory.
  • Experience with security systems, including alarm monitoring, electronic access control, mass notification systems, travel security tracking software, open source intelligence databases and CCTV.
  • Comfortable with high-tech work environment and constant learning of new tools and innovations.
  • Ability to articulate and communicate written and verbal communications to an executive audience on a consistent basis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, International Affairs/Relations/Business, Emergency Management, Political Science, Criminal Justice or related discipline preferred.
  • Military/Law Enforcement Command or Ops Center Experience
