Saw Operator

Compensation: $18/hr. and up Depending on Experience

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• Configure band saws using mechanical drawings, cut lists or blueprints
• Measure, mark and align materials before cutting to optimize usage and prevent waste
• Inspect finished cuts using measuring tools like calipers, micrometers and tape measures
• Perform routine machine checks, change blades and apply lubrication
• Operate overhead crane to transport material and unload material from trucks
• Skilled to operate forklift to transport material and unload material from trucks
• Ability to work with all areas in the manufacturing process
• Shift: 2nd (3:00-11:15) / OT when available – Not Mandatory

Additional Skills Preferred:

• 1–2 years of experience working with industrial machinery or cutting equipment in a machine shop or warehouse
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
• Comfort lifting up to 50lbs. and standing for long periods
