Position Summary

Aisin Texas has an opportunity for a new Quality Assurance Specialist. Role requires advanced problem-solving skills & high sense of urgency to resolve facility and customer quality issues as well as work on reducing impact to manufacturing lines.             

Position Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

  • Ensure product's compliance with customer's requirements.
  • Interface with customer relating to manufacturing quality issues.
  • Participate in drawing review at early product planning stages.
  • Participate in cross functional PFMEA activity.
  • Participate in cross functional control plan development.
  • Implement customer part approval process activity per AIAG guidelines.
  • Evaluate data, set control levels and maintain SPC control charts on selected items.
  • Feedback customer quality information back to manufacturing.
  • Coordinate and implement quick countermeasure activity.
  • Meet with MFG to understand in-process problems & subcomponent trouble.
  • Implement customer part approval process activity per AIAG guidelines.
  • Responsible for certain sections or customers and will be main window person
  • Assure accuracy and timeliness of customer PPAP Process.
  • Evaluation of Returned Product (Field & Customer) & Report.
  • Preparation of Management review material (Monthly & QR).
  • Issue corrective action requests to areas with noncompliance.
  • Lead corrective action requests to closure including validating countermeasures.
  • Conduct process audits internally to assure QMS is robust.
  • Defect Analysis & Reporting.
  • Support Hoshin Kanri Activity.
  • Help achieve ISO/TS16949 and ISO 14001 registration within company determined time frame.
  • Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Will perform other reasonably related tasks within the Company as required by the Supervisor or Management.

 Education/Training/Certifications

  • Bachelors degree desired; or equivalent manufacturing experience
  • 5+ years relevant experience (automotive assembly or similar)
