We are seeking a motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee daily operations in our landscape, hardscape, mowing, and construction business. You will play a key role in managing projects, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining the highest quality of service to our clients. The successful candidate will have experience in both fieldwork and management, a strong knowledge of landscape and hardscape installation, and the ability to supervise multiple projects while maintaining a hands-on approach.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Oversee and manage daily landscape, hardscape, and construction operations, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and direct a team of field workers, including landscapers, laborers, and construction crew members. Foster a positive, productive, and safe work environment.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Develop project schedules, coordinate job site logistics, and ensure that resources, including labor and materials, are allocated efficiently.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of workmanship by conducting regular site inspections and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenses, working closely with senior management to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Vendor Management: Work with suppliers and subcontractors to secure necessary materials and services for projects, negotiating favorable terms when possible.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any operational issues or unexpected project challenges in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape, hardscape, and/or construction industry, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills. Proficiency in project management tools and software. Knowledge of landscape and hardscape design and installation practices. Ability to read blueprints, designs, and specifications. Budgeting and cost management. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Certifications: OSHA 10 and/or 30 certification or similar (preferred but not required).
  • Licensing: Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles.
