Backup Coverage: In case of absence, duties fulfilled by another Production Line Operator, Lead or Production Supervisor

Position Summary
The Production Line Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring production line equipment to ensure quality products are manufactured in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and GMP standards, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment as trained, including conveyors, case erectors, labelers, and other line equipment.
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process and report any quality concerns to the Line Lead or Production Supervisor.
- Perform visual inspections to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Push and pull pallets of boxes, bottles, and finished products as needed.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety requirements, and company policies.
- Complete required production documentation, including reading pallet patterns and performing basic math calculations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Ensure equipment and work areas are properly cleaned and prepared for the next shift.
- Support production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Lead or Production Supervisor.
Work Environment
- Industrial production setting.
- Exposure to moving machinery, ingredients, and packaging materials.
- Requires standing, bending, and repetitive motion for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Ability to operate production equipment safely and effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous manufacturing or food production experience preferred but not required.
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered.
