Job Summary:

The Billing Operations Analyst leverages data, analytics, and business intelligence to improve the performance, efficiency, and accuracy of DMG’s Billing Operations team. This role combines operational expertise with advanced reporting and analytical capabilities to identify trends, uncover process improvement opportunities, and provide actionable insights that drive business decisions.

  

Working closely with the Billing Manager and cross-functional partners, this individual develops Power BI dashboards, automates reporting, analyzes operational performance, and recommends scalable solutions that improve billing processes and support organizational growth.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and executive reporting.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities.
  • Create recurring and ad hoc reports for Billing leadership.
  • Partner with Billing leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to define productivity, quality, and timeliness KPIs and deliver reporting that make them actionable.
  • Perform root cause analysis on billing exceptions and manual rework, tracing issues to originating system or process and recommending durable fixes.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual billing processes.
  • Document workflows and operational procedures.
  • Support billing system enhancements and technology initiatives.
  • Monitor operational metrics, billing accuracy, and SLA performance.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, IT, and Operations on strategic initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

 

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience in business analytics, operations analytics, finance operations, or billing operations.
  • Advanced Power BI experience, including dashboard development, DAX, data modeling, and report creation.
  • SQL experience is highly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH).
  • Experience with ERP, billing, or financial systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage the stress of a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to meet the in-person requirements of the team and/or business needs.
