Location: Good Samaritan Hospital

 

Schedule: 6 am-2pm rotating days

Minimum Job Requirements:

 

  • High School Degree
  • 3rd class Ohio State Stationary License
  • Boiler firing & repair, mechanical and computer knowledge
  • 3-4 years experience in a related field

    Job Overview:

 

Under the direction of Power Plant Supervisor, this position operates, monitors, and repairs three gas/oil fired boilers and related equipment, and operates and monitors three hospital computer systems (Pevco pneumatic tube system, Honeywell Building Automation System, and Metasys building automation system). The incumbent is also required to use the following programs: Maximo work order program, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access. Answers the phones and records the proper information for Engineering and Maintenance and dispatches E & M technicians and ensures the physical appearance of assigned equipment and plant is maintained. Performs assigned preventative maintenance, repairs, and tasks assigned with proper documentation; demonstrates good flexibility and initiatives; and prepares boilers and other vessels for annual inspections. The Boiler Operator is also subject to work on other duties and do other jobs that are requested and deemed necessary by the supervisor.
