Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of critical data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working in large-scale data center environments and understands the operational standards required to maintain high availability, safety, and performance.
Previous professional experience working for Meta Platforms, Inc. (META) is required. Candidates must have direct prior experience supporting Meta data center operations, infrastructure, or related technical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, networking equipment, racks, cabling, and related data center hardware.
- Perform hardware installations, removals, replacements, upgrades, and repairs according to established procedures.
- Troubleshoot server, network, power, connectivity, and hardware-related issues.
- Perform equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Manage rack-and-stack activities, including server deployment, cable management, labeling, and equipment removal.
- Follow detailed technical procedures, work instructions, and data center standards.
- Use ticketing and asset-management systems to document work activities, equipment changes, incidents, and resolutions.
- Escalate complex hardware, networking, or infrastructure issues to appropriate engineering or operations teams.
- Assist with inventory management, equipment tracking, and asset reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and infrastructure changes.
- Follow all data center security, safety, access-control, and environmental requirements.
- Work collaboratively with data center operations, network engineering, hardware engineering, facilities, and other technical teams.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance activities and, when required, respond to urgent infrastructure issues.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working directly for Meta (META) in a data center or related technical infrastructure environment is required.
- Demonstrated hands-on data center technician or hardware infrastructure experience.
- Experience working with servers, networking equipment, structured cabling, racks, and related hardware.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using ticketing systems and documenting technical work.
- Ability to follow detailed technical procedures and safety requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift, move, and install data center equipment as required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly structured data center environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale hyperscale data center environments.
- Previous experience with Meta data center tools, procedures, systems, or operational standards.
- Experience with Linux or other server operating systems.
- Basic networking knowledge, including Ethernet, TCP/IP, fiber, copper, and network hardware.
- Experience with hardware diagnostics and component replacement.
- Experience with structured cabling and fiber-optic infrastructure.
- Data center, networking, hardware, or IT certifications.
- Experience working with DCIM, CMDB, asset-management, or inventory systems.

Experience Requirement
META EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Applicants must have previous professional experience working for Meta (META) in a data center, infrastructure, hardware operations, network operations, or closely related technical capacity. Experience with other hyperscale data center operators is valuable but does not replace the Meta experience requirement.
Work Environment
This position requires working in a mission-critical data center environment. The technician may be required to work on their feet for extended periods, work around operating equipment, climb ladders or work in equipment aisles, and occasionally lift or move heavy equipment. Schedule requirements may include nights, weekends, holidays, on-call rotations, or other non-standard hours depending on operational needs.
