This role is critical to preserving product integrity, maintaining accurate METRC seed-to-sale tracking records, and ensuring that all post-harvest activities meet regulatory and consumer-quality benchmarks. The Dry Room Technician works closely with the cultivation and packaging teams to support a seamless, compliant post-harvest workflow.

Drying & Curing Operations

Bucking & Trimming

•       Perform hand and/or machine bucking of dried cannabis stalks, separating flower from stems.

•       Operate trim machines and/or conduct hand trimming to achieve finished-goods quality standards.

•       Inspect trimmed flower for quality defects, foreign material, mold, and pests; quarantine and report non-conforming material.

•       Maintain production output targets without compromising quality or compliance standards.

Compliance & METRC Record-Keeping

•       Accurately record batch weights, waste, and transfers into the METRC seed-to-sale tracking system in a timely manner.

•       Ensure all plant material, packages, and waste are properly tagged and tracked per Ohio Administrative Code 1301:18.

•       Maintain complete and legible batch records, drying logs, and environmental monitoring documentation.

•       Assist with internal audits and regulatory inspections by providing accurate records and ensuring dry room readiness.

•       Report any compliance discrepancies, inventory variances, or SOP violations immediately to supervision.

Sanitation & Facility Standards

•       Properly clean and sanitize trim equipment, racks, bins, and tools between batches.

•       Dispose of cannabis waste in accordance with DCC regulations and internal waste management procedures.

•       Familiarity with drying and curing processes, moisture monitoring, and environmental controls.

•       Ability to pass all required background checks per Ohio DCC regulations.

•       Strong attention to detail with ability to maintain accurate written and electronic records.

•       Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, highly regulated production environment.
