At SSRG, we're looking for an Estimator who can support the estimating team with accurate takeoffs, organized cost information, bid preparation, and the follow-through that supports high-quality service and organizational growth. At SSRG, we’re not just preserving and restoring structures; we’re building a legacy of quality, integrity, and purpose.  What You'll Build Review specifications, architectural drawings, and project documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates. Collect cost information from subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment using estimating software and tools. Work with senior estimators to develop cost-analysis and bid-preparation skills. Evaluate subcontractor bids against project specifications and requirements. Prepare bid packages with accurate scopes of work and pricing. Maintain project documentation and historical cost data for future estimates. Participate in meetings with project managers, clients, and team members to discuss estimates and resolve issues. Prepare cost evaluations for additional work or design changes to support change-order management. Analyze subcontractor performance to inform future selection and negotiations. Collaborate with procurement to gather accurate material and equipment pricing. Improve estimating processes while maintaining compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of proprietary costing information. Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsWhat You Bring Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 5 years of construction estimating or similar experience; entry-level candidates with relevant internship experience may be considered. Proficiency with estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar. Understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs. Ability to travel locally within a reasonable distance of the main office with reasonable notice from management. Preferred, but not required: Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications. Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational, time-management, and communication skills. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CAD software is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, take initiative, and collaborate as part of a team. Basic understanding of construction contracts and terminology. Knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and regulations. Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
