Job Summary

 

The Indirect Sourcing Lead will be responsible for end-to-end vendor management including vendor initiation, negotiations, and contract management.

 

Essential Job Functions *

 

  1. Manage the complete vendor management lifecycle from initiation to contract completion.
  2. Manage numerous projects such as identifying low-cost alternatives, analyzing conversion opportunities, and facilitating implementation to completion.
  3. Identifies process improvement and cost-saving opportunities and recommends appropriate action steps to realize savings.
  4. Develop and implement cost-based reduction strategies capable of delivering annual target savings.
  5. Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate and maintain favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.
  6. Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends, new product developments, and emerging technologies relevant to the category.
  8. Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams, including sales representatives and marketing managers, to ensure the successful execution of category strategies.

Education & Experience

 

  • 3-5 years of experience in indirect procurement within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in contract management and vendor management.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience with SAP and Concur and other ERP systems
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Supply Chain certifications are a plus.
  • Experience beyond just a buying role.
