About the Role:
Â
The National Account Manager, Central is responsible for driving distribution, sales, and execution across key Midwest-based regional and national chain accounts.
This individual will lead customer relationships, develop joint business plans, and execute programs that drive incremental growth across Tri-Vin’s portfolio. The role requires a strong understanding of the retail landscape, the ability to translate insights into action, and a consistent focus on delivering results.
Success in this role will be measured by growth in distribution, volume, and share across assigned accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Â
Account Management & Growth
- Own and manage relationships with assigned chain buyers and category teamsÂ
- Develop and execute joint business plans that drive distribution, velocity, and share growthÂ
- Identify opportunities for:Â
- New item authorizationsÂ
- Expanded distributionÂ
- Incremental displays and featuresÂ
- Maintain and grow existing business through effective pricing, promotion, and assortment strategiesÂ
Midwest Chain Execution
- Lead day-to-day management of key Midwest-based chain accounts, including Kroger and aligned banners, as well as other regional grocery and mass retailersÂ
- Manage all aspects of the business, including:Â
- Assortment planningÂ
- Promotional programmingÂ
- Modular resets and shelving strategyÂ
- Partner with internal teams and distributors to ensure strong execution across divisionsÂ
- Identify and close gaps in distribution, pricing, and in-store executionÂ
Data & Insights
- Analyze performance using Nielsen, IRI, and retailer-specific data to identify opportunities and risksÂ
- Translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations for customers and internal teamsÂ
- Monitor competitive activity and category trends to inform strategyÂ
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Commercial Marketing to develop and execute customer-specific programsÂ
- Work closely with distributor partners to align on priorities and execution in-marketÂ
- Coordinate with supply chain and operations to ensure product availability and successful launchesÂ
Planning, Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate forecasting, planning, and reporting across assigned accountsÂ
- Communicate business updates, opportunities, and risks to leadershipÂ
- Manage trade spend and promotional investments in line with company objectivesÂ
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree requiredÂ
- 5+ years of experience in national or regional account management within beverage alcohol or CPGÂ
- Experience working with Midwest-based chain retailers strongly preferred; Kroger experience a plusÂ
- Strong understanding of chain retail dynamics, including grocery, mass, and clubÂ
- Experience with syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI) and retailer systems preferredÂ
- Proven ability to build relationships and drive results with key retail customersÂ
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skillsÂ
Key External Relationships:
- Chain buyers and category managers across Midwest retailersÂ
- Distributor leadership and sales teamsÂ
- Retail merchandising and execution partnersÂ
