Overview

Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking a diligent Office Engineer in Cincinnati, OH to join our team.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

*This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.

  • Assist Project Manager and Project Engineer and act as support for the field.
  • Know the contractual obligations that Herzog has with the client and vice versa.
  • Support document control functions including but not limited to the processing of transmittals, submittals, and RFI’s.
  • Assist with cost coding labor, equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Assist with the procurement and timely delivery of project materials.
  • Assist with Subcontract administration.
  • Attend and support various meetings by maintaining and distributing accurate meeting minutes.
  • Acquire and assist with closing construction-related permits.
  • Regular and consistent engagement, participation, and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent experience in a construction related position preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Procore or PM Web is a plus.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a team.
  • Must have strong organization skills.
  • Must be highly motivated.

 

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
  • Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen.
  • Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
