FA – Maintenance Electrician
Job Purpose
Maintains production reliability and product quality by ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components of machinery and equipment within a chemical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Organize work by reviewing work orders and gathering required tools and materials
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems including robots, conveyors, PLCs, transformers, voltage regulators, and production machinery
Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Install new equipment including power supply wiring and conduit between machinery
Diagnose and repair malfunctioning electrical systems (motors, transformers, lighting, control systems)
Replace and repair components such as relays, switches, motors, printed circuit boards, and sensors
Program and test automated equipment including robots and programmable logic controllers
Support production uptime by coordinating preventive maintenance efforts
Maintain inventory levels of electrical parts and supplies
Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, electrical codes, and regulatory requirements
Contribute to team objectives and support plant reliability initiatives
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in industrial electrical maintenance
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience with PLCs, automated systems, and electrical control panels
Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
Mechanical aptitude and experience using power tools
Ability to work extended hours as needed (over 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week)
Must be able to pass a respirator fit test
Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
Work Environment
Active chemical manufacturing facility
Required use of PPE
Exposure to production equipment, noise, and industrial conditions
Additional Requirements
Technicians participate in an on-call rotation (approximately one week per month)
