Responsible for a group of properties, the Regional Operations Manager is the primary representative of the company in the market and is responsible for all aspects of operations within the market, including financial performance, property maintenance, safety, staffing, training, guest and employee satisfaction,Ā and management of General Managers and Floating General Managers. Interaction at all staff levels isĀ requiredĀ toĀ monitorĀ adherence to corporate policies and procedures, evaluate quality standards, andĀ maintainĀ guest satisfaction.Ā

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ā 

  • Understand andĀ demonstrateĀ the ability to train a team within their assigned region/markets toĀ maintainĀ brand specific operating standards on exterior/ interior cleanliness and property upkeep.Ā 

  • Lead a team of General Managers and Floating GeneralĀ Managers to ensure high employee and guest satisfaction scores.Ā 

  • Interview,Ā hireĀ and train candidates.Ā Responsible for training,Ā developmentĀ and support of staff in all areas of the operation.Ā 

  • EnsureĀ high levelsĀ of communication areĀ maintained,Ā both with corporate office and all team members.Ā 

  • Fully understand Quality Assurance expectations and perform a minimum of two QA inspections per quarter.Ā 

  • Ensure compliance andĀ maintainĀ operational standards in designatedĀ region/market.Ā Ā Ā 

  • Ensure Look Book standards are followed at all properties.Ā Ā 

  • Post renovationĀ (exteriors,Ā lightingĀ and guestrooms) property isĀ maintainedĀ to similar standards. Ensure post renovation pictures are taken and kept in office for staff to have clarity on property upkeep expectations.Ā 

  • Monitor weekly / monthly staffing and scheduling requirements, while ensuring quality and labor expense goals are achieved.Ā 

  • Lead by example to ensure excellent guest and employee satisfaction. Live our Mission,Ā VisionĀ and Values.Ā Ā 

  • Understand and coach managers on guest exit surveys.Ā Ā 

  • IdentifyĀ and manage repair and maintenance issues.Ā Ā 

  • IdentifyĀ capital expenditure needs and make recommendations for improvement.Ā 

  • AssistĀ in the management of capital expenditure budgets andĀ projects.Ā Ā 

  • ManageĀ safety,Ā securityĀ and/or violations of policy within assigned region/market.Ā 

  • Manage guest concerns.Ā 

  • Demonstrate the ability to drive performance throughout the market, maximizing Revenue and EBITDA.Ā Ā 

  • Fully understand financial budgets and actual P&L’s, with the ability to train managers on each line item.Ā Constantly be awareĀ onĀ each property’s performance.Ā 

  • AssistĀ in preparation of annual budgets.Ā 

  • Ensure General Managers within assigned region/market follow their Daily Action Plan.Ā 

  • Monitor competitors for each property and recommend pricing decisions.Ā 

  • Drive sales through sales calls and other local marketing, while working closely with the sales team.Ā 

  • Develop andĀ maintainĀ positive relationships will all governmental authorities.Ā 

  • EnsureĀ DailyĀ Exceptions Report is closelyĀ monitored.Ā Ā 

  • Ensure any indications of fraud, risk, safety issues are quickly brought to management’s attentionĀ

Essential Qualifications:Ā 

  • High School Diploma, equivalent combination of education and experience.Ā 

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a management or leadership role.Ā 

  • Ability to delegate and work on multiple projects simultaneously.Ā 

  • Ability to examine work for exactness and conformance with company policies and procedures.Ā 

  • Basic toĀ intermediate levelĀ proficiencyĀ with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Ā 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, timeĀ managementĀ and multi-tasking skills.Ā 

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.Ā 

  • ConfidentĀ self-starter who requires minimalĀ supervision,Ā is comfortable with ambiguity and is very adaptable.Ā 

  • Ability to attend meetings asĀ required.Ā 

  • Valid driver’s license, current autoĀ insuranceĀ and access to reliable transportation.Ā
