P&C IT Services provides professional services to help our business units and corporate functions use technology to create, manage, and optimize information and business processes. We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support our Property & Casualty IT organization within the Core Underwriting and Policy Administration domain. This role partners closely with underwriting and operations teams to translate complex business needs into effective technology solutions.
The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of P&C insurance lines of business and the end‑to‑end policy lifecycle, along with strong analytical and requirements‑gathering skills. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, fellow business analysts, developers, and quality assurance teams to define, implement, and deliver enhancements to our policy administration systems.
This position requires a proactive, detail‑oriented professional who can work independently while contributing to a highly collaborative delivery environment.

To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site a minimum of two days a week, with the potential to work three days remotely. Core in-office days are Tuesday and Thursday but will be determined by business needs.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Analyzes business issues and defines requirements to design IT solutions that align with organizational goals.
Collaborates with program manager, project manager and/or project teams to gather information, model systems requirements, and document specifications.
Develops and implements automated system protocols that reduce manual processes, increasing overall operational efficiency.
Develops workflow charts and diagrams to study system capabilities and write detailed specifications.
May create end-user documentation and deliver training to ensure successful adoption of new systems.
May monitor project milestones, phases, and elements to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of related experience required
Prior experience within the P&C industry with deep knowledge in the insurance domain.
Strong policy life cycle experience.
Strong analytical skills gathering requirements from our business partners.
Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced working environment.
Self-motivated and desire to learn company proprietary implementations to support our specialty products.
Prior experience with Agile methodology while using Rally software.
Ability to see big picture and ensure strategic development to support future system strategic initiatives.
Experience building relationships with our business partners, professional presence with ability to manage expectations.
Understanding of integrated systems where data is transferred downstream.
Curiosity of AI and its ability to assist in gathering requirements, documentation, and processes.
Prior experience with API's.
Prior experience with SaaS policy administration vendors.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
Experience: Generally, a minimum of 10 years of related experience that includes experience in designing, testing, debugging, documenting and/or maintaining applications required or configuring and using application software in a business setting.
Scope of Job/Qualifications: Provides requirements guidance to program manager, project manager and/or project teams. Participates in all phases of the requirements life cycle and requirements teams for small to moderately complex programs and projects. May make recommendations for Best Practices and introduce new techniques/tools to the BA Practice (including methods/approaches). Exhibits strong business knowledge and ability to identify and define business needs including a high level of understanding of organization's business and technology operations. May serve as Scrum Master on an agile team, helping the team through a combination of facilitation and coaching, while also helping those outside the team understand how to interact with the team. May serve as an agile development team member, creating and testing the product increment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and analyze data to drive decision-making.
