Baerlocher USA

For over 190 years, Baerlocher has been a global leader in specialty additives, built on a foundation of quality, innovation, and sustainability. At Baerlocher USA, our culture runs on five values, Drive, Humility, Continuous Improvement, Ownership, and We Mentality, and you’ll see them in how we show up for each other, take ownership of our work, and never stop looking for ways to get better. If that sounds like you, keep reading.

The Role

As our Senior HR Generalist, you'll own full-cycle recruiting for the site and be the go-to partner for employees and managers on everything from employee relations and orientation to benefits and compliance. You'll hold a seat on our D10 leadership team, drive people-side rocks through EOS, and chair the One Baerlocher committee. In short: you'll shape who joins us and what it feels like to work here.

What You’ll Own

  • Full-cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt roles: sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers, and the pipeline metrics that keep it honest.
  • Day-to-day generalist support across employee relations, performance coaching, leave administration (FMLA, ADA, short-term disability), and HRIS accuracy.
  • New-hire orientation and onboarding, plus the benefits broker relationship, open enrollment, monthly benefits meetings, and HR Office Hours.
  • Compliance across EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and I-9/E-Verify, with records that hold up and policies that stay current.
  • Site culture and engagement as chair of the One Baerlocher committee, and a seat on the D10 team driving HR rocks to completion.

You’re the Right Fit If You…

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or the experience to match.
  • You bring 5–7+ years of progressive HR generalist experience, including at least 2 years owning full-cycle recruiting.
  • You know federal and state employment law cold: EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and I-9/E-Verify.
  • You've partnered with hiring managers across exempt and non-exempt populations, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • You exercise sound judgment with confidential information and build credibility with everyone from the production floor to senior leadership.
  • Bonus points for PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification, EOS experience, or bilingual English/Spanish.

Work Environment

  • On-site at the Baerlocher facility, with occasional travel between sites as needed.
  • A mix of office work and time on the production floor, including the ability to wear required PPE.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
