The Project Manager will be responsible for key enterprise strategic initiatives, seeking to achieve project scope, time, cost and quality objectives consistent with Project Management Institute (PMI) best practices. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating the activities of internal and external resources throughout the lifecycle of these efforts, maintaining an effective and motivated project team. The Project Manager will also assist business partners with the development of project charters and project plans, ensuring the appropriate human resources, communications, risk, procurement and stakeholder management plans are documented, communicated and approved.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Manages a group of projects or individual projects as assigned.
Has a deep understanding of a specific line or multiple lines of business such that they can participate in strategic and detailed tactical planning for that business.
Provide project management leadership for high-profile enterprise initiatives, driving cross-functional project teams to achieve high-quality results through all phases of project delivery.
Provide project management or program management leadership for merger and acquisition (M&A) activities. May also lead small to mid-sized acquisitions efforts.
Monitor and manage project scope, time, cost and quality objectives throughout project lifecycles. Proactively identifying and mitigating major risks before they become incidents.
Management and oversight of internal and external project team resources, such as direct reports, vendors, consultants, or other third parties.
Develops project scope and design specifications, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of business requirements.
Ensures governance standards are upheld and accountable for end-to-end delivery.
Mentors and guides PMO project managers.
Participates in educating, coaching and mentoring line of business project managers in PMO policies and procedures.
Develops and maintains comprehensive project documentation and archives (projects plans, issues logs, risk registers, stakeholder registers, business requirements, etc.)
Actively manages project risks, issues, corrective action, change control, status reporting, and process improvement plans.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job
Minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience managing complex projects or programs in a mid- to large scale corporate environment.
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects or a full program.
Accountable for end-to-end delivery of assigned projects.
Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and techniques (e.g., PMI PKBOK, PMP training, Agile, SDLC, etc.)
Requires management ability to provide assistance to others to effectively identify, explain and obtain acceptance of concepts which may involve controversial issues or represent significant change.
Ability to investigate new approaches, conduct studies of a theoretical nature and analyze complex tangible and intangible data to determine trends or achieve specific objectives or goals.
May make suggestions with respect to improving organizational practices, policies or procedures.
A passion for coaching and developing coworkers and project team members to achieve positive project outcomes.
Demonstrated aptitude facilitating meetings, achieving meeting objectives and capturing and managing action items.
Experience managing and leading complex, cross-functional project teams with a deep commitment to effective collaboration across all stakeholder groups.
Experience managing consultants, external business partners, vendors, RFP processes, SoW / contract processes and project budgets.
Advanced skills in using standard office automations tools, e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in finance, project, program management, etc.
Continued pursuit of education and maintaining current perspective of project management industry practices and trends.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
PMP, CSM, Six Sigma Black Belt or additional project management certifications preferred.

Required Supervisory Responsibilities
Mentor and guide less experienced project managers.
Administrative and supervisory responsibility for Project Managers, Analysts, consultants as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lead and facilitate meetings and/or conference calls which may require stationary standing or sitting for extended periods of time (several hours)
Some out-of-town travel may be required (less than 10% of the time)
Must be able to operate a computer and interact with standard office automation applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Pay Range
$120,000/year to $165,000/year
