Job Description:

Working in the procurement of mechanical and electro-mechanical commodities. Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Approves and qualifies vendors, obtains quotes, examines bids and makes awards. Follows up on all awards through completion of order. Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, and maintains necessary records. May prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.

Essential Functions:

• Placing Purchase Orders.
• Handling Invoice Issues.
• Working Closely With Suppliers.
• Negotiation Skills.
• Travel up to10%.
• 10 years or more experience with Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).
• 10 years or more experience in negotiations.
• 10 years or more experience in procurement of mechanical and electro-mechanical commodities.
• 10 years or more experience in the field and will represent the organization as the prime contact on a project or program.
• Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Procurement experience with DoD and Government Contracts.
