The MOW program supports independence while promoting the social, physical, and emotional well-being of seniors. The Meals on Wheels Senior Manager of Social Services is a full-time, salaried position which will lead multiple functions of the Social Services Department.  Primarily a Monday through Friday schedule.  Medical, dental and vision benefits available day one.  Ten paid holidays per year and paid time off accrual starts day one.     PRIMARY FUNCTION:   Provides leadership and oversight for the social services department. This role involves strategic planning, program development, staff management, and ensuring the effective delivery of social work services in line with organizational goals and relevant standards.  ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Leading, supervising, and mentoring social work staff, students and managers, setting performance standards, and fostering professional development.  Contributing to the development and implementation of strategic plans for social work services, aligning them with the overall organizational goals.  Developing, implementing, and evaluating social work programs and services, ensuring they meet the needs of clients are effective and efficient and are following relevant regulations and standards.  Participating in the development and management of budgets for social work programs and services.  Monitoring and evaluating the quality of social work services, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance service delivery.  Collaborating with other departments, agencies, and community organizations to provide comprehensive services and advocate for clients' needs.  Identifying training needs for social work staff and implementing professional development programs.  Representing the organization in community settings and building relationships with external community stakeholders. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree in Social Work with advanced state licensure required. Independent licensure with supervision distinction in Ohio preferred. Must be willing to obtain KY social work license. Significant experience in social work practice, including direct service, supervision, management and program development. Must be community oriented, flexible, dependable and have the ability to work constructively with staff of varied educational and experience levels Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Extensive knowledge of the aging field including knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards. Ability to work effectively and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in using various software programs, including electronic health records, is required.  Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to visually observe clients, assessing and evaluating their conditions. Valid driver’s license and use of an automobile is required. Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol screen. PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Have the ability to hear and follow instructions. Must be in general good health and demonstrate emotional stability. Have the ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Sit, bend, lift, move and stand for extended periods of time during working hours. Ability to ascend and descend stairs.
