Visiting Faculty, Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, College of Nursing

The College of Nursing (CN) at Xavier University is seeking an experienced, and highly motivated candidate for a full-time, visiting psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner faculty member to serve as coordinator of the MSN PMHNP track.  This position is renewable annually for up to three years, pending continuing need.  The successful candidate will be responsible for student support, will aid in clinical placement coordination and organization, curriculum oversight, and aspects of organizational management.  The candidate will ensure that the PMHNP curriculum meets accreditation standards and supports administrative peers in requisite reporting and monitoring of didactic and clinical data.  The candidate will participate in the faculty organization and appropriate program and college activities and committees.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Current and unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Ohio or be eligible to be licensed and practice in Ohio. Certification and licensure in Ohio as a PMHNP or PMH CNS
  • Clinical and didactic instruction experience in an accredited program in pediatrics psych/mental health or other specialty areas is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development, accreditation requirements, methods of teaching, and evaluation are desired.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to working as part of a collaborative team.
  • Possession of a doctoral degree is strongly preferred.
