POSITION SUMMARY: (WHAT, HOW, WHY)
For more than 100 Years, Goodwill has been committed to re-using and recycling. We are committed to Sustainability and Environmental Stewardship. Re-sellable items are used to support our mission of helping people with disabilities and our nation's veterans to go to work. As part of our warehouse team, you will be helping us to achieve our mission by helping us process donated goods. This involves the loading and unloading of trailers, re-using equipment for storage of donated goods, and maintaining an organized work floor for the processing of material in and out of the warehouse.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
 
EDUCATION: None

EXPERIENCE: Training Provided 

Hours: Hours may be scheduled on any day of the week, including weekends, based on operational needs.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Unloading trailers of donated goods; by hand (if floor loaded) or using a pallet jack
  • Position gaylords into appropriate locations for storage
  • Empty trash into trash trailers
  • Responsible for housekeeping in assigned areas 
  • Will be expected to meet all daily and weekly production goals for assigned areas


PERIODICAL DUTIES:

  • Sort Raw Goods coming into the warehouse as needed.
  • Separate mixed loads into appropriate categories.
  • Work in other areas of the warehouse as needed.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Working in a warehouse setting
  • Prolonged standing, repetitive walking, sitting
  • Lifting/pushing/pulling 50+ lbs
