Job Summary

The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for performing HR-related duties at a professional level and works closely with the Human Resources team. This position supports and administers a variety of HR functions, including recruitment and employment, onboarding, policy implementation, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. The Human Resources Administrator serves as a resource for associates and management while helping to ensure the effective delivery of HR programs, processes, and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee files, records, and documentation.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure required documentation is complete and properly filed.
  • Assists with recruitment activities, onboarding, and new hire orientation.
  • Maintains employee data within HR systems and assists with HR-related correspondence and communications.
  • Assists HR management with policy administration, hiring processes, and compensation administration.
  • Conducts exit interviews and stay interviews and provides feedback to the HR team as appropriate.
  • Maintains and updates job descriptions and other HR documentation.
  • Tracks and maintains HR reports, spreadsheets, and metrics.
  • Assists and responds to routine employee inquiries.
  • Supports the HR team in the preparation of presentations, meetings, training materials, and special projects.
  • Participates in organizational committees and assists with employee engagement and office events.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information at all times.
  • Continuously develops HR knowledge through training, education, and professional development opportunities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with employees and management.
  • Strong analytical, research, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide guidance, support, and information to employees and team members in a professional and customer-focused manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in maintaining HR records, reports, databases, and documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.

Education and Experience

  • 0 – 1 years’ (relevant) experience in Human Resources field preferred.
  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.  Equivalent experience will be considered.

  • At times, as business needs arise and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal work day or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job.

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand;
    • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10lbs and;
    • Specific vision abilities are required within this position.
  • Occasional travel (approximately 10% or less) may be required in this position.
