Position Summary

The Unclaimed Property Intern provides general administrative and project support to the Unclaimed Property Compliance team, particularly during peak filing seasons. This internship is designed to offer hands-on exposure to unclaimed property consulting by supporting day-to-day administrative activities and observing how consultants manage client engagements. The Intern will develop foundational knowledge of unclaimed property compliance processes while building professional skills in a collaborative consulting environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to the Unclaimed Property team, including data entry, document preparation, and file organization.  

  • Assist with gathering, organizing, and maintaining documentation related to unclaimed property projects.  

  • Support consultants with routine administrative tasks to help ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.  

  • Maintain organized records and assist with tracking project materials and internal deliverables.  

  • Sit in on select client calls, internal meetings, and training sessions to gain exposure to consulting practices and project management.  

  • Learn basic unclaimed property concepts, terminology, and compliance workflows through hands-on support and observation.  

  • Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned to support team needs.  

  • Track and respond to phone and email communications from recipients of issued letters, maintaining detailed documentation, and ensuring consistent follow-through.  

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Education and Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recent graduate of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • No prior professional experience required; administrative, office, or internship experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to follow instructions, manage time effectively, and work in a team-oriented environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Work Schedule: Regular, 40 hours/week
