The position will assist in cycle count inventories at all locations.  Will assist in product returns programs with suppliers. Will support the monitoring and control of any offsite inventory.  Will assist branch warehouses with their inventory control procedures.   The inventory analyst develops, implements, and maintains all the procedures and protocols regarding proper inventory control for the purpose of maintaining accurate financial information.  This position will also support selected Purchasing responsibilities when necessary.   Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor all key functions related to inventory levels and locations. Assists as a critical team member with all cycle count and inventories including preparation, planning, counting and reconciliations. Perform inventory analysis and management to avoid low stock and overstock. Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions. Develop initiatives to reduce slow moving inventories and to improve inventory turns. Manages supplier return programs in compliance within supplier terms and conditions. Assist with customer returns. Cross trained in purchasing functions to back up team members when absent. Monitors inventory levels very closely and resolves any issues that may become apparent. Reports to management regularly and provides recommendations for better inventory control. QualificationsRequirements: Industry experience in Industrial Distribution a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or equivalent based on proven track record, OR 5+ years of relevant experience preferred Knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing and supply chain practices highly valued. Critical Skills:  MS Excel and MS Word experience Exceptional analytical skills are required. Epicor, Prophet 21, Latitude Warehouse Management experience is beneficial Proven problem-solving abilities and analytical skills Must have the ability to work independently Must have excellent mathematical skills Demonstrates the ability to pay very close attention to detail and immediately notice any discrepancies regarding inventory and finances. Shows the ability to solve complex problems individually and quickly. Possesses the ability to create solutions to previously unsolved issues. Must be able to communicate well with others in order to implement inventory control plans. Demonstrates the ability to work well with computers and maintain databases effectively. Shows professionalism, particularly when working with suppliers or other departments within the company, a team player. Possesses strong written communication skills for the creation of reports. Must have a stable work history, no more than two jobs within the past three years. Direct Reports:  None Additional Responsibilities: As assigned Working Environment: Work is performed within a general office environment.  Work is both sedentary and physical requiring occasional standing, walking, lifting (overhead, waist level), bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use.  Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the facility environment.
