Your Opportunity 

We are looking for an experienced Wastewater Senior Project Manager to be part of our established Program Management Team (PMT) based out of our Cincinnati, OH MSDGC Client Program Management Office.  This is an opportunity to be part of a large integrated team focused on helping our client successfully deliver this iconic regulatory driven Program.  

 

As a key member of our team, you will serve as a Portfolio Delivery Leader providing strategic and tactical leadership support for two (2) major wastewater infrastructure projects as part of a $1.3B 10-Year Phase of the City/County Consent Decree Wet Weather Improvement Program (WWIP).  This portfolio includes major facility upgrade projects at MSD’s largest WWTP (Mill Creek WWTP).  These projects will be delivered through a progressive design-build methodology, offering a dynamic and collaborative project delivery environment.  This role has opportunity to grow over time into a Deputy Program Manager or Program Manager role.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for project execution and client relationship management in the Greater Cincinnati region performing a variety of tasks to plan, execute and deliver these consent decree driven projects.
  • Support Stantec’s Cincinnati Project Delivery Leader and team in delivery of our program delivery services as needed.
  • Participate in all phases of project delivery (e.g., planning, design, construction, and  closeout).
  • Provide timely project advice, guidance, and decision support for the proactive identification of upcoming challenges and means for their efficient resolution at the project, portfolio, or program level.
  • Forecast trends and identify timely mitigation and/or recovery options for consideration.
  • Meet project governance, contractual, budget, schedule, risk, quality, and related performance requirements during the planning, design, and construction project delivery phases to achieve overall Program objectives. 
  • Plan, organize, and manage the production of project deliverables to ensure on time delivery, technical quality and within budget.
  • Prepare technically evidenced proposals as project issues arise with clients, contractors, equipment suppliers/vendors or reviewing agencies.
  • Execute multiple concurrent projects efficiently.
  • Effectively apply industry standards as well as client standards and requirements
  • Work with project teams to coordinate permits for projects, which may require meetings with clients, contractors, utility companies, and reviewing and permitting governmental agencies.
  • Mentor developing professionals to guide their career development objectives.
  • Review team’s work and provide technical guidance on design approach and challenges.
  • Perform on technically complex projects and act as a technical and strategy resource by providing guidance to other team members.
  • Conduct work in a safe manner and promote health and safety within the office and outside of the office while visiting clients and job sites.
  • Participate in local and national professional associations and organization events aligned with Stantec’s growth strategy.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
