Upon completion of the program, students will have a working knowledge of the basic use of lift trucks as well as the ability to safely inspect and operate lift trucks. The curriculum includes classroom theory and practical hands-on training. QualificationsEssential Job Functions Demonstrate excellence in teaching, commitment to integrating new technologies in the learning process, and the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower students to succeed. Use established training materials to present formal class training exercises to students. Provide instructional training in policy, procedures, and all regulatory compliance as it relates to forklifts and operators, including compliance with any local, state, and federal rules, regulations, and laws. Transport students utilizing the company vehicle to training locations Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Experience: Must have the knowledge, training, and teaching experience to train forklift students on the basic powered industrial trucks such as sit-down forklift, reach truck, walkie rider and high lift order picker/cherry picker. Skills & Abilities Good computer skills and have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Excellent ability to work with students and must be able to handle all situations. Knowledge of the instructing and instructional materials preferred. Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations
