We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy construction equipment and diesel-powered trucks. This position plays a vital role in keeping our road construction projects operating safely and efficiently. If you have strong diagnostic skills, enjoy solving mechanical problems, and take pride in quality workmanship, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy equipment, including fluid services, brake inspections, and other scheduled maintenance.
• Inspect machinery to identify wear, damage, or potential mechanical issues before they become major problems.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic components, electrical systems, air brake systems, and other equipment-related issues.
• Work with fellow mechanics and field personnel to troubleshoot equipment failures and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records, documenting repairs performed, replacement parts, and labor completed.
• Adhere to all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations while performing repairs and maintenance.
• Keep the shop and work areas clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications

• Previous experience repairing diesel engines and heavy construction equipment is required.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic systems, air brake systems, and electrical diagnostics.
• Experience supporting road construction equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation to and from central mechanic shop.
• Must be capable of lifting heavy components and performing physically demanding work in outdoor conditions.
