- Collaborate with other departments and external vendors to plan and implement projects and resolve issues.Â
- Research and evaluate solutions for cost-reduction and other opportunities to improve OEE.Â
- Troubleshoot equipment and processes.Â
- Create/Modify documents to support manufacturing operations such as PM documents, work instructions, process specifications, etc.Â
- Work with maintenance to continuously improve equipment/process design, PM procedures and scheduling.Â
- Lead large capital projects from justification, design specifications, vendor selection, logistics, and commissioning.Â
- Train fellow engineers, technicians, operators, and other staff about equipment processÂ
- Design experiments to define and optimize process and equipment parameters.Â
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive OEE.Â
- Lead or participate in the introduction of new products, processes, material, and equipment.Â
- Lead or support the design/development of new processes and equipment.Â
- Provide feedback Design for Manufacturability to product design team.Â
- Design or develop equipment and fixtures to support manufacturing.Â
- Initiate or facilitate implementation of engineering changes.Â
- Develop spare parts list and tool recovery plan.Â
- Interface with equipment vendors.Â
- Deep dive root cause analysis on critical and systemic issues in a timely manner.Â
Requirements

Â
- Bilingual in Mandarin and English with oral proficiency in both languages
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or equivalent.Â
- Ability to use CAD software (Solidworks, Inventor, Autocad, Draftsight)Â
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.Â
- Ability to read/interpret technical drawings: Electrical, mechanical.Â
- Experience troubleshooting and improving highly automated production equipment.Â
- Experience defining and optimizing equipment and process parameters.Â
- Prior experience in leading or participating in OEE improvement documentation.Â
- Understanding of safety regulations and ordinances, as well safety protocols to ensure industry standard compliance.Â
- Ability to travel off-site for training or business specific needs.Â
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs.Â
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time during shift. Â
PreferredÂ
- Experience with solar module manufacturing.Â
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC’s, automation devices, robots, and other electromechanical devices.Â
- Statistical software: Minitab, JMP, Advanced ExcelÂ
- Prior experience with computerized maintenance management systems or other tool tracking systems.Â
- Prior experience developing or sustaining MES systems.Â
- Prior experience working with equipment suppliers to commission equipment.Â
