Job Description

We’re seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Cushion Filler to support our upholstery manufacturing operations by filling pillows and cushions to specification using filling equipment, hand tools, and manual techniques. This role plays a key part in ensuring product quality, production efficiency, and material readiness across the production floor.

The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, quality-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy and consistency. This individual will partner closely with sewing, upholstery, and production teams to ensure cushions and pillows are filled correctly and available to support production schedules.

What You Do

  • Pairs fillers with cushion covers and matches completed cushions to the appropriate furniture frame or order.
  • Fills pillows and cushions using filling equipment, metal rods, or manual stuffing techniques according to product specifications.
  • Estimates and verifies fill quantities using timing, weighing, or other approved methods to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Maintains adequate cushion inventory on the production floor to support production schedules and customer orders.
  • Ensures cushions and pillows meet company quality standards before being moved to the next production stage.
  • Receives and organizes supplier deliveries related to filling materials and supplies.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Supports production teams by ensuring materials and completed cushions are available when needed.
  • Collaborates with production leadership and team members to address quality concerns and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Follows all safety, quality, and operational procedures established by the company.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous manufacturing, production, upholstery, warehouse, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to accurately follow work instructions, production orders, and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong active listening and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle cushions, pillows, and related materials.
