Manufacturing Engineering Technician
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Classification: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Manufacturing Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Support Manufacturing Engineering and Project Engineering initiatives.
- Assist in designing, building, and improving manufacturing methods, fixtures, tooling, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot engineering and production issues through root cause analysis.
- Design, modify, and build workstations, benches, fixtures, and related equipment.
- Participate in engineering research and development activities.
- Assist with machine installations and new facility setups.
- Recommend and coordinate the purchase of engineering supplies, equipment, and materials.
- Train team members on equipment, tools, processes, and safety procedures as needed.
- Attend engineering and customer meetings when required.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and hazard communication requirements.
- Operate forklifts safely after certification.
- Complete required training and continuous improvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of related manufacturing, engineering, mechanical, or fabrication experience.
- MIG welding proficiency required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with engineering-related software.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, applied math, geometry, and mechanical systems.
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to analyze problems, prioritize work, and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in a vocational, mechanical, manufacturing, or engineering-related discipline.
- TIG welding experience.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Experience operating manual lathes and milling machines.
- Experience programming and operating 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machines.
- Previous manufacturing engineering or production support experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read measurements, distinguish colors, judge depth, and perform detailed visual inspections.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely.

Work is performed in a combination of:
- Manufacturing and production areas
- Machine shop and welding shop environments
- Office settings
Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures and typical manufacturing conditions while supporting projects throughout the facility.
