Join our team as a Contact Lens Technician and you'll be at the forefront of providing quality patient care! To be successful in this role, you'll need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, plus a desire and ability to combine on-the-job training with a company provided classroom experience. Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate the ordering and maintaining of contact lenses.
  • Accurately gather, document, and handle patient contact lens orders and payments.
  • Teach patients how to care for and use contact lenses.
  • Verify insurance benefits per patient request, file contact lens claims for any patients wishing to use their insurance benefits. 
  • Cross-train to perform other tasks, including diagnostic testing and administrative front desk duties.

 

 

 

Qualifications

What You Will Bring:

 

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Completion of a contact lens, optician or ophthalmic assistant or technician program strongly preferred (COA or COT)
  • Experience working as a contact lens technician, optician, ophthalmic technician or scribe is preferred
  • Experience with EMR tools a plus
  • Proficient with MS Office tools (outlook, excel, word)
