Job DetailsJob Location: Claxton, GA 30417Position Type: Per DiemEducation Level: 2 Year DegreeJob Shift: AnyJob Category: Health CarePosition Description: Under the administrative direction of the Lead Radiology Technologist and the medical direction of qualified radiologist, the Technologist is responsible for performing radiologic exams as ordered by attending physician.  Complies with all federal, state, and regulatory requirements while maintaining the confidentiality of protected health information.  Work assignments will require patient involvement with all age populations including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatricsQualificationsMinimal Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited radiologic technologist program and current registration with ARRT required. Strong written and oral communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of equipment, required techniques, and computer applications used for radiologic exams. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers required. Physical/Mental Demands: 1.   Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk, and bend intermittently throughout the work day.  Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. 2.   Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable the applicant to adequately fulfill the requirements of this position. 3.   Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned. 4.   External and internal applicants who are/become disabled, must be able to perform the essential position responsibilities unaided or with assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined on a case by case basis.
