Job Title: Fabric Solution Architect
Role Summary
A Fabric Solution Architect designs, implements, and governs end-to-end data and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric. This role bridges business requirements with technical architecture, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms leveraging Fabric components such as Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Engineering, Data Science, Real-Time Intelligence, and Power BI.
Key Responsibilities
? Solution Architecture & Design
- Define end-to-end data architecture using Microsoft Fabric
- Design Lakehouse architectures (Delta Lake, Medallion layers: Bronze, Silver, Gold)
- Architect data integration, ingestion, transformation, and serving layers
- Define architecture patterns for batch, streaming, and real-time data processing
? Platform Implementation
- Lead implementation of:
- Fabric Workspaces & governance model
- Data Pipelines & Dataflows Gen2
- Notebooks (Spark-based engineering workloads)
- Data Warehouse & Lakehouse solutions
- Fabric Workspaces & governance model
- Configure and optimize OneLake data management
? Data Modeling & Analytics
- Design enterprise-grade semantic models (Power BI datasets)
- Establish best practices for data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling)
- Enable self-service BI and governed analytics
? Integration & Ecosystem
- Integrate Fabric with:
- Azure services (ADLS, Synapse, Azure SQL, Event Hub, etc.)
- External data sources (ERP, CRM, APIs)
- Azure services (ADLS, Synapse, Azure SQL, Event Hub, etc.)
- Design hybrid/multi-cloud data integration where required
? Security & Governance
- Implement data governance, lineage, and cataloging
- Define role-based access control (RBAC) and data security strategies
- Ensure compliance with enterprise data policies
? Performance Optimization
- Optimize workloads for:
- Query performance
- Cost efficiency (capacity planning)
- Data storage strategies
- Query performance
- Monitor and troubleshoot Fabric environments
? Leadership & Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Business stakeholders
- Data engineers, analysts, and scientists
- IT and cloud teams
- Business stakeholders
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship
- Drive design reviews and architecture governance
Required Skills & Experience

- Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric / Synapse / Azure Data Platform
- Expertise in:
- Data Lakehouse architecture
- Spark / PySpark
- SQL & Data Warehousing (MPP systems)
- Data Lakehouse architecture
- Experience with:
- Data Pipelines / ETL/ELT frameworks
- Power BI (advanced modeling, DAX)
