About This Position
This position will be delivering meals for the Jefferson County Senior Nutrition Program.Â
Â
The Delivery Driver will be responsible for driving for an established route/territory. They will assist in the loading, unloading, and delivering goods to customer locations.Â

Essential Functions/Core ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Learning the delivery area.Â
- Checking orders for quality and accuracy.Â
- Following proper delivery procedures.Â
- Assist with food preparation, serving, and kitchen maintenance, cleaning, and sanitizing as needed.Â
- Assist with receiving food and supply deliveries from vendors and restocking.Â
- Transfer supplies and equipment by hand or with cart as identified by supervisor to the proper location.Â
- Gather supplies required for each site as detailed on production sheets and order guides.Â
- Load, Unload, and deliver products and orders in a timely manner.Â
- Report any necessary maintenance or repairs needed on the company vehicle to the manager.Â
- Responsible for maintaining and keeping the vehicle cleanÂ
- This role includes physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
- Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift when not driving.Â
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
- High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Â Must be at least 18 years of age.
- One (1) years' experience in delivering products/inventory preferred.
- A valid state driver’s license for assigned vehicles is required.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to transport and set up food and food service items.
- Knowledge of safe driving procedures and traffic rules.
- Strong team orientation.Â
