The Opportunity

Greenprint Capital is seeking an Associate to join its Investments team, responsible for structuring, underwriting, and closing tax equity, preferred equity, and project finance transactions across the firm's renewable energy investment portfolio. Location in St. Louis, MO is preferred but not required.


The role primarily supports the tactical execution of individual transaction workstreams, including financial modeling and structuring analysis, due diligence coordination with sponsors, lenders, and legal counsel, drafting of investment committee materials, and negotiation support on transaction documents through closing.


Core Responsibilities

  • Own financial modeling and structuring analysis for tax equity, preferred equity, and project finance transactions, including waterfall, cash flow, and return sensitivities.
  • Lead due diligence workstreams, coordinating directly with sponsors, lenders, and legal counsel to close out open items.
  • Draft and finalize investment committee memos and transaction summaries.
  • Support negotiation and drafting of transaction documents — LLC agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and credit facility documents — alongside legal counsel.
  • Manage transaction timelines and cross-functional coordination through closing.
  • Contribute to investor reporting and Capital Markets materials.


Candidate Qualifications & Core Attributes

  • Bachelor's degree required; CFA, CPA, or equivalent coursework a plus.
  • 5-7 years of experience in tax equity, project finance, renewable energy investing, investment banking, or private equity.
  • Advanced financial modeling and structuring skills.
  • Direct experience supporting or leading due diligence on structured transactions.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate across internal and external teams.


Compensation Range

Base Salary: $130,000-$170,000 annually

Total Compensation Includes:

  • Performance bonus: Target of 20% of base salary annually
  • Discretionary bonus: Potential additional bonus based on individual and company performance
  • Benefits: Comprehensive package (health, dental, vision, 401k match, PTO, etc.
