Job DetailsJob Location: 801 Seminary Place - St Louis, MO 63105Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeTravel Percentage: NegligibleJob Category: MarketingPOSITION SUMMARY:  The Manager, Communications is responsible for overseeing the implementation of internal and external communication strategies to promote the Seminary’s objectives and to create positive associations with the Seminary’s audiences within the church and the public. Duties include assisting in the management of external communication channels like social media platforms, the organization’s websites and media relations; producing content for the Seminary’s communications vehicles and upholding the Seminary’s brand.   RESPONSIBILITIES:    Collaborate with faculty and staff in the requisite campus departments to develop and provide consistent targeted and impactful content for Concordia Seminary’s print and digital communications; build and maintain solid partnerships with those internal clients to better develop, manage and facilitate strategic communications designed to meet the Seminary’s goals. Design campaigns to target specific audiences, placing an emphasis on campaign performance to accomplish objectives of the campaigns. Provide hands-on advertising and promotions support to internal clients, paying close attention to timelines and deadlines. Direct in-house staff and external writers, photographers, video producers and other media-production specialists, as assigned, who are integral to the completion of marcomm projects.   Contribute ideas for new programs; research and recommend innovative branding techniques. Research and understand key operational challenges, constituent behavior, target audiences, competitive activity and environmental factors that impact projects. Collaborate with the Communications team to ensure consistency of Seminary branding and articulation of a Gospel witness across all channels and platforms. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, marketing or related field  Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships Three years of experience in writing and editing Strong familiarity with AP style  Strong ability to multitask and reprioritize as needed Available for occasional evenings and weekends to cover campus-related events as required Member in good standing with LCMS-affiliated congregation preferred   Experience in a cross-platform environment (Mac/PC) using applications including Microsoft Office Dexterity in using social media websites and management systems, such as Hootsuite Experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications, Canva or similar applications   POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Digital Marketing Specialist
