Parts Advisor

The Parts Advisor plays a key role in supporting both customers and technicians by providing exceptional service, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring the right parts are available when needed. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment.

What You'll Do
- Assist customers in identifying and ordering the correct parts and accessories for their vehicles.
- Provide outstanding customer service while creating a positive and informative experience.
- Promote and sell parts and accessories by making knowledgeable recommendations to customers and technicians.
- Work closely with service technicians to ensure parts are available to support efficient repairs and shop productivity.
- Research, identify, and source automotive parts using manufacturer catalogs and dealership systems.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain an organized parts department.
- Resolve parts availability issues and coordinate special orders when necessary.
- Locate parts across multiple dealership locations and external suppliers.
- Pick up parts from distributors and vendors as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of manufacturer parts, products, and dealership programs through ongoing OEM training.
- Support department goals through accuracy, teamwork, and operational efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership software systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred
- Previous automotive parts department experience.
- Automotive, diesel, or mechanical knowledge.
- Experience using electronic parts catalogs and dealership management systems.
- Forklift experience or ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse or material-handling equipment as required.
