Full Time - Team Leader - Clear Lake, IA

As a Team Lead, you will oversee a team of up to five Direct Support Professionals, ensuring high-quality support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role plays a key part in empowering individuals to live as independently as possible while meeting compliance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support team members providing daily living assistance (housekeeping, hygiene, cooking, laundry, self-medication, etc.)

• Assist individuals with financial management and budgeting

• Ensure team compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation requirements

• Maintain a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for staff and individuals

• Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedback to your team

• Participate in an on-call rotation and demonstrate flexibility within your team's schedule

Qualifications

• Option 1: High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of progressively responsible experience supporting individuals with disabilities

• Option 2: BA/BS degree in a Human Services-related field with 2 years of relevant experience

• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred

• Medication Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)

• Proficient computer and documentation skills

• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance

• Must pass background check, drug screen, and physical assessment (including lifting up to 50 lbs)

Additional Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and using assistive equipment as needed

• Mandt Certified or ability to become certified
