Why we need you:

he Cheese Slurry Operator is a key player in our production process, ensuring the smooth creation of cheese slurry that meets our high standards. This role is vital for maintaining the flow of quality ingredients into our products, directly impacting customer satisfaction and our reputation for excellence.


A Day in the life:

  • Obtain the production schedule and Master Batch Record (MBR) from the Supervisor.
  • Assemble ingredients according to the MBR and report any shortages.
  • Follow the MBR meticulously during the preparation of the Cheese Slurry.
  • Assist with the delivery of Slurry to the Mix and Blend area.
  • Manage the receipt and handling of Cream Loads.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
  • Prepare the workspace and equipment for the next shift, ensuring a seamless transition.
  • Perform Clean-In-Place (C.I.P.) of lines and equipment using the correct chemicals and procedures.
  • Understand and troubleshoot product manufacturing and C.I.P. piping hook-ups.
  • Communicate equipment concerns or malfunctions to Plant Management or maintenance personnel.
  • Work overtime and alternate shifts as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and commitment.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements and plant rules, maintaining a focus on quality and safety.
  • Complete and submit all required paperwork accurately and on time.


Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Forklift License preferred.
  • Previous experience in a food production environment is a plus.

Working Relationships:

You will be an integral part of the packaging team, working closely with other department members and leading a group of operators and workers. Your role involves cooperation with other departments and may include supervisory responsibilities over a team.


To successfully perform the essential functions of this role, the employee must be able to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours per shift).
  • Frequently bend, stoop, twist, and reach overhead.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, and arms.
  • Operate machinery and tools requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
  • Tolerate exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and noise levels in a production environment.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection


Work Environment 
 While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a manufacturing environment with the following conditions:

  • Exposure to hot or cold Climate frequently.
  • Exposure to chemical frequently.
  • Exposure to noise and vibration frequently.
  • Exposure to wet and humid conditions frequently.
