The position will be located in Clearfield, UT. This position supports a Monday – Thursday 4 x 10 schedule.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to develop and implement process improvements as well as support site initiatives.
Work closely with manufacturing personnel in the highly automated production of composite aerospace components.
Author, modify, and audit shop floor electronic work instructions (EWIs).
Perform root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities to permanently eliminate defects.Troubleshoot production/equipment/program/tooling issues and implementing improvements and solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
Manufacturing Engineer (Level 2):
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and 1 years or experience in the following engineering fields; Manufacturing, Quality, Electrical, Production, Industrial, Process, Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautics OR Masters with 0 years of experience.
Experience with Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Must have active U.S. Government Clearance
Must have active Special Program Access (PAR) prior to starting
Preferred Qualifications:
Active U.S. Government Clearance
Special Program Access (PAR)
Experience using DMAIC problem solving system
Experience with composite manufacturing
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience working with/programming Fanuc or similar robots
Experience using NX or similar CAD software
Experience using Smart MES or similar
Demonstrated understanding of root cause / corrective action processes and techniques
Experience using RCCA tools such as Five Why, Pareto, fishbone, etc.
Experience drafting, maintaining, and modifying work instructions and/or process specification
