Position Summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a highly capable and organized Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Clearfield, UT.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills while collaborating with senior leadership, government agencies, and the KBR team.

· Provide technical solutions to complex engineering problems.

· Ensure designs comply with industry standards and specifications.

· Document engineering processes and workflows.

Qualifications

Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

· Minimum 2 years of engineering experience, 5 preferred.

· Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent written and verbal communications.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desired:

· Proficient understanding and working knowledge of SolidWorks, and simulation tools such as ANSYS.

· Proficient understanding and working knowledge of material selection, manufacturing techniques, and creating and interpreting engineering drawings and data.

· Experience and knowledge of reliability, maintainability, and supportability challenges due to aging and obsolete components.

· Knowledge and experience with root cause analysis.

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
