Director Engineering

Be a part of the leadership team shaping navigation and sensing products of the future.  You will lead a team responsible for design, development, and verification of advanced inertial navigation systems featuring the world’s most sophisticated sensors supporting all Honeywell Aerospace sensing and guidance products in support of both the Space Navigation PAC and the Navigation and Sensors GBE product lines.  The position will focus on attracting, developing, and retaining top technical talent while building an operating system to ensure efficient and effective development program / project and department execution. 

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Engineering for Sensors, Guidance & Navigation, the Director will oversee software engineering development efforts, coordinate with program management, and ensure successful technical execution, scheduling, development cost, and quality and certification objectives.  

This role requires managing optimization of SW engineering processes and tools to enhance program execution, effectiveness, and development speed.  

The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering development background, with prior experience managing large engineering groups supporting varied product portfolios.
