About Marcurius Multi-Mission Solutions

Marcurius Multi-Mission Solutions is a fast-growing defense technology company headquartered in the Tampa Bay area, Florida. Founded by U.S. and U.K. veterans, Marcurius brings decades of frontline experience across Special Operations and Intelligence missions, with deep expertise in asymmetric warfare and the real-world employment of unmanned systems.

Marcurius is building a new kind of unmanned systems company- multi-domain, multi-platform, and mission-driven. We integrate battle-proven platforms, resilient command-and-control architectures, and operator-led doctrine to deliver capabilities that work in contested environments. Our initial focus is the rapid fielding of advanced Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs) for modern maritime operations.

Role Overview

The Junior Electrical Integration Technician supports the hands-on build, installation, and testing of low-voltage electrical systems across Marcurius unmanned maritime platforms. Working from engineering drawings and work instructions, this role fabricates wire harnesses, installs power, sensor, network, communications, and autonomy hardware, and helps ensure reliable, production-quality integration in harsh marine environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, label, route, terminate, and inspect low-voltage wire harnesses and cable assemblies for marine and unmanned-system applications.
  • Install and wire 12V/24V power distribution, batteries, circuit protection, grounding, sensors, autonomy hardware, communications equipment, Ethernet, and CAN bus components.
  • Perform connector assembly, soldering, heat shrinking, weather sealing, and light- and heavy-gauge crimping using approved tools and methods.
  • Route and secure cabling through vessel spaces while maintaining bend radius, strain relief, chafe protection, serviceability, and marine durability.
  • Read and follow schematics, pinout tables, cable schedules, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Conduct continuity, pinout, voltage, resistance, and ground checks; identify wiring or component faults and support troubleshooting and rework.
  • Maintain accurate cable labels, build records, test results, parts usage, and rework documentation.
  • Support prototype builds, vessel integration, sea-trial preparation, post-trial inspection, and safe, organized workshop operations.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of hands-on electrical assembly, wire-harness, installation, or technician experience in a marine, automotive, robotics, industrial, or similar environment.
  • Basic understanding of low-voltage DC systems, including wiring, connectors, fuses, circuit breakers, batteries, grounding, and circuit protection.
  • Ability to use crimpers, wire strippers, soldering tools, heat guns, hand tools, and digital multimeters safely and accurately.
  • Ability to read and follow electrical schematics, pinouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and ability to produce neat, reliable, and traceable installations as part of a small technical team.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, U.S. work authorization, and ability to satisfy applicable defense, security, and export-control requirements.

Preferred Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience in marine electrical systems, robotics, unmanned systems, custom vehicles, motorsports, prototype builds, or electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Experience with marine-grade connectors, sealed harnesses, battery and charging systems, and environmental protection methods.
  • Experience installing or troubleshooting sensors, cameras, radios, Ethernet/LAN, autonomy hardware, or communications equipment.
  • Familiarity with CAN bus and diagnostic tools such as CANalyzer, Kvaser, PEAK PCAN, Vehicle Spy, or comparable platforms.
  • ABYC Electrical Certification, relevant technical-school training, or experience supporting testing, sea trials, production troubleshooting, or rework.
Work Environment

Primarily onsite at Marcurius facilities in Clearwater, Florida, with direct work in workshops,

vessels, docks, and field-testing environments. The role supports prototype development,

electrical integration, and sea-trial preparation in a fast-paced setting with changing priorities and

close cooperation across engineering, software, operations, and test teams.

Why Marcurius

Marcurius is a people-first, execution-focused organization assembling a small, high-impact team of engineers and operators. This role offers the opportunity to design and field electrical systems that directly enable real-world maritime missions and help build the technical foundation of a next-generation unmanned systems company.
