The role involves managing assigned design tasks with moderate independence, creating engineering documentation packages, supporting production issues, and contributing to product improvements. This position requires solid technical competence and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Lead design workstreams for subsystems, assemblies, and product customization. Conduct engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and basic stress analysis. Develop complete engineering drawing packages with proper GD&T and material specifications. Perform root-cause analysis on quality or field issues and recommend design solutions. Support R&D or new product development tasks as assigned. Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and manufacturing engineering. Review and approve drawings prepared by junior designers. Prepare engineering documentation, reports, and test records. Improve design processes, standards, and tools. QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience. Proficiency in SolidWorks, including assemblies, simulation basics, and sheet metal tools. Knowledge of fabrication processes, weldments, mechanical systems, and rotating equipment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with wastewater screening equipment or industrial machinery. Exposure to finite element analysis (FEA) or CFD. Competency Expectations Performs most tasks independently with periodic engineering review. Applies strong engineering judgment and problem-solving skills. Demonstrates effective cross-functional collaboration. Working Conditions Office and manufacturing environments; periodic travel to customer sites or vendors. Occasional involvement in pilot testing, equipment trials, or troubleshooting.
